Hello, friends! It's been far too long since we've spoken. I hope all has been well in your worlds :) As for me, I've been doing the dreaded work-school combo that so many of us are all too familiar with. Still at the bookstore, and still in nursing school, both of which keep me really busy, but in the best possible way. Apologies for the hiatus! 

So, now that we're all caught up, it's time to focus on my favorite time of year: AUTUMN!! Kids, I cannot express how much I LOVE this time of year. The leaves, the air, the sky (sunny or cloudy, they're both beautiful), the clothes, the boots, the coffee, the pumpkin everything; there's just a general cozy feeling floating in the air that's tangible and beautiful. I love the fall. And all that it comes with. Which is why today's T.I.L.T. is autumn-themed!

Happy Thursday, kiddos! And what a lovely Thursday it is. Well, as lovely as it can be from inside a roasting garage waiting to get my car fixed. But no matter! I have an iced coffee and a copy of Aldous Huxley's Eyeless in Gaza. In other words, I'm set for a good while. 

There's so much to be happy about this Thursday, I'm not quite sure where to begin. So I suppose I'll just dive right on in!

Foster the People's album, Torches - do your ears a favor and listen to "I Would Do Anything For You." Yes, it's a little on the lovey-dovey side. Who cares. It's precious and light and a perfect addition to a sleepy time playlist, or a time to chill playlist / running downtown in the evening / summer produce stands...and summer produce in general / going vegan! More details to come on this :) / How good it feels to crawl into bed after a long day / popping bubble wrap / This chair and decor set up-I want it so terribly!

Dresses: Obvious, right? But you should know just how much of a skinny jeans fanatic I was (and still am, really), and last summer I was stubborn as ever and clung to the jeans and tightly as they clung to me in the summer heat. Absurd, isn't it? Well, I've put the jeans away for the summer and embraced all things flowy and billowy.

Allo, mes cheries! It's an absolutely splendid Thursday today and I'm eager to share the multitude of things tickling my fancy today.

Living where I live. It's not perfect, and it's not where I'll stay, but on days like today, you have to stop and admire it. It really is beautiful.

Moustache pens! You may recall the moustache pencils I blogged about here. These have been "temporarily" out of stock since February. I don't think this is temporary. So I bought the next best thing! A moustache pen.

BHLDN -  Anthropologie unveiled their new collection, BHLDN (pronounced "beholden"), back in February. BHLDN is their first wedding collection and I must say it is stunning. Don't misconstrue this: wedding bells are no where in my near future! But looking at these pieces will make any gal swoon.

Things I'm digging on this particular jeudi...

-The above quote: Darlings, today has been one for the books. I haven't stopped running all day, and managed to find a 10 minute window to fit in another favorite thing, blogging! I'm exhausted and possibly a little loopy, but it's reminders like this one that reassure me everything is going to be just fine. 

-Cold coffee drinks: I don't know if it's juxtaposition of hot coffee and ice or what, but good grief iced coffee has a hold on me. Even my beloved chai has been iced! I can't help myself. Yum.

-Dresses and tights: I'll admit, I have always, always, always been a proponent for skinny jeans, every day, every season, all year. Lately, however, dresses and tights have been replacing my beloved staple. Comfort and some fashion credibility? I'll take it!

Happy Thursday, friends! Despite the sudden cold snap, it is awfully beautiful outside. Soak it up!

I'm in an incredibly chipper mood today, so I feel like I have a surplus of things I love today. No dilly-dallying-isn't that a splendid phrase?-I'll get right to it.

An Object of Beauty by Steve Martin. I'm halfway in the novel and already I'm crazy over the quiet protagonist, Daniel, and his eccentric female counterpart, Lacey. It's centered around the art & auctioning world in New York City in the 90's. Art and art dealings? Is it any wonder I adore this book? I'll do a review post as soon as I finish reading.

Going veggie-Mmhmm, you read right folks, I am embarking on a vegetarian lifestyle. This isn't a foreign lifestyle-I was a vegetarian for years and grew up with a vegetarian in the house. It's been a few weeks now and I love the decision. Keep in mind, though, maintain your protein if you make the choice to cut out meat. Junk food vegetarianism is easy to fall into!

Gala Darling- "The Playgirl's Guide to Radical Self-Love" is the happiest, most bubbly, magical, bright, splashy, and necessary website I've experienced. Please investigate for yourself here. hello, friends! It feels like ages since I've done a things i love thursday post, and today seems like the perfect opportunity to do one.

divine sunshine - Finally, folks, spring is HERE. After numerous blog posts and wishful thinking I have my fingers crossed that we can welcome spring to stay! Until summer, that is.

sleeping late - Okay, okay, I know this doesn't exactly fit in with the vitality aspect of the happiness project, but darn it, I love excess snooze time.

hiking - What better outdoor activity than a good hike? Laurel Falls was the most recent endeavor, but it was a tad cloudy and chilly. Hopefully one of these upcoming weekends will provide enough sun to get me outside and hiking.

my book-a-day calender / making playlists for different situations (i.e.-happy playlist, contemplative playlist, big decision playlist, sleepytime playlist, time to vamoose playlist, etc.) / inhalable coffee - okay, folks, bear with me on this one. Katelyn (find her blog here) ordered some and let me try it. I am a self-proclaimed coffee aficionado, and I loved these things. One calorie, eight puffs per pod, and as much caffeine as a cup of coffee. It's absurd but so fun / this dress from anthropologie - I am definitely not a fan of maxi dresses...at all. But something about this one caught my eye, and I would actually consider wearing it. 

 

Speaking of anthropologie, I'm loving the eyelet lace and white theme they have lately / Steve Martin's latest novel An Object of Beauty - art, Sotheby's Institute...what's not to love? / working in a bookstore / lollipops / bicycles! I really want one / Orly polish in "Anicent Jade"

Happy Thursday, loves! We all know that means!

Yoga- I gave yoga a try a few times over the years but never consistently stuck to it. I went to a small, locally-owned studio, then to a weekly class at a massive gym. No matter the venue, though, I loved everything about it...even falling over when instructed to "find your star pose." Apparently mine was on the ground. Anywho! I took a class this week at my school's gym and I must say I really enjoyed it. I'll stick with this.

Clock pendants-  Derek, the darling that he is, found this clock pendant on Etsy and surprised me with it a few months ago.

Sadly, I lost the necklace that I loved about two weeks ago. But another one was ordered and is en route! I adore this necklace-I'll make sure this one stays with me!

The White Stripes-My fellow music junkies, you probably heard the news that Jack and Meg White have officially broken the beloved band up as of yesterday. Read the NME article here. Jack and Meg did leave with a rather poignant statement:

"The White Stripes belongs to you now and you can do with it whatever you want. The beauty of art and music is that it can last forever if people want it to."

I've loved this band from the moment I heard "Fell in love with a Girl" and have followed them ever since. I absolutely hate the break up, but will continue to love them for years to come.

• Kitchen Gadgets- Lately I can't help myself; I love buying kitchen goodies. I like the idea of dark red, black, and white colors, so I've been stocking up on dark red appliances and gadgets. I also found these matryoshka measuring cups at Francesca's. Can you say adorable? 

• Vitality- If you read my previous post, you know I'm embarking on the happiness project, with a new area of happiness each month. This month I'm tackling vitality in an effort to be more energetic. I've tried to get into a set sleeping routine and have been getting at least 8 hours a night. I've also cut way down on sugar and "junk food." I can honestly say I feel a difference after a few days of this and it's lovely. 
• Snow- I woke up to yet another snow fall this morning! I know it's an inconvenience for travel, and I know we're all ready for warm weather, but it is absolutely gorgeous outside! The trees are completely covered, and the ground is solid white.

Pottery Barn / Twitter / Free downloads - MGMT Daytrotter session here / Snow angels / Recipe boxes / Packing- I move back to school on Monday and discovered I don't have to live with a random roommate but  instead get to live with Lindsay! Who wouldn't be excited?

skinny caramel lattes / bathing suits at Target! - I love the snow, but the anticipation of summer is pretty grand, too / House marathons / financial aid refunds / waking up before the alarm / Charcoal pencils / Too Faced lava gloss / coffee - multiple cups, multiple pots / new head phones / a clean car- finally!
